If wishes were horses...

I really wanted to like this book. I was hoping for some very good paranormal fiction, but in the end it just didn't work for me. I probably would have liked this book a lot more if it wasn't for the sex. The sex is well written, and it isn't clichéd...but in my opinion it just didn't belong in this book. It didn't add all that much to the story and in one instance I thought to myself, 'I probably wouldn't feel up for a roll in the hay so soon after my mentor was murdered'...but maybe that's just me.There are some good things in Shattered Souls but I found it hard going.
