If wishes were horses...

I liked this book a lot, it's a sensitive but not overly emotional portrayal of a woman with terminal cancer and her two children. The story centers around Layken an 18 year old woman who is coming to terms with the fact that her mother won't be around for much longer. She is grieving even though her mother hasn't yet passed away. Through her friends, her younger brother and her teacher, she finds a measure of peace with what is happening to her family.
