3.5 StarsGin Blanco and her gang are back in the seventh book in the Elemental Assassin series. In this episode, she is doing battle with Salina, a water elemental who happens to be a former lover of her boyfriend. If I look at this book in isolation, without thinking of it as book seven in a series, Widow's Web is a good urban fantasy set in the crime ridden fictional city of Ashland. Jennifer Estep doesn't do anything wrong, she delivers what her fans want.But I've read all seven books in this series, and I'm thinking to myself, "are there really going to be another three?' The devoted fans will disagree, but I think this series is getting a little tired, and maybe Jennifer Estep should go to her publisher and suggest they put it to bed and start something new.
