Here to Stay

Here to Stay: A Harrigan Family Novel - Catherine Anderson ★★★½ Here to Stay is not too bad. It didn't rock my world, but it didn't disappoint either. It had pretty much everything I want in a book although it did get a bit cheesy in parts.Chalk & Cheese Here to Stay and The SirenAny excuse to keep talking about The Siren by Tiffany Reisch. It's highly likely that I would have thought more of Here to Stay if the book I read immediately before it wasn't The Siren. The Siren is erotic fiction and it's not for everyone, but it is sublime. What they have in common...a hero named Zach, religious undertones. That's about all they have in common. Here to Stay felt safe and conservative. It's a book that doesn't step on any toes. I don't have any problem with that. I like the way Catherine Anderson uses her books as a platform to advocate for the disabled and also against animal cruelty, but her books aren't going to blow your mind. The Siren doesn't pull its punches. It will challenge most people and offend quite a few. Because Tiffany Reisz takes risks in her books, risks that I imagine would necessitate the employment of close protection, she manages to write a book that soars to dizzying heights. after all that, I can't decide if I want to post this or delete it
